    Unhappy Cross-browser CSS disaster...

    Hi everyone! I'm new here, but I think this is quickly going to become one of my favorite forums!!

    My personal website uses PHP and MySQL for a blog-type format. For each entry, if I have indicated that there is a picture, the picture is put in the upper-left corner of the entry. (If you look at the PHP code, you will notice that there is also a case where the image can be linked to a larger version). Anyway, the best way to demonstrate exactly what's happening is with screenshots.

    In OmniWeb (this is the way I want it to work on all browsers):
    http://www.dalqe.com/ow.jpg

    In IE 5.1 (Mac):
    http://www.dalqe.com/ie.jpg

    In Chimera .4:
    http://www.dalqe.com/chim.jpg

    Basically, I need the "blogentry" class (which specifies the white background) to include the picture, but for some reason it doesn't.

    The default stylesheet (for the skin you'll get the first time you visit) is http://www.dalqe.com/blue.css and you can look at the page code at http://www.dalqe.com/index.txt

    This site is the first time I have used CSS for most of the layout instead of tables, and so far it is a good experience; I just can't figure out this one problem. Thanks for your help!

    Thumbs up Cool site...

    Hi blitchre,

    I'm not sure, but I think this is what you're looking for...

    .blogentry {
    padding: 3px;
    padding-top: 7px;
    padding-bottom: 7px;
    background-color: white;
    background-image:url(img/picture.jpg)
    }
