    Please review my Portfolio Website

    Please review my Portfolio Website

    Website: http://inspirationsunlimited.co.in

Website Aim: I do some freelance stuffs using my free hours. The website is aim to showcasing my recent and past projects and the kind of service client can expect from me. I am also looking for more challenging projects and would like to increase my client list.

The blog is aims to provide some creative resources, tutorials and updates to fellow designers.

Note: Some part of the website is yet to update/fix; known fact to me is website needs optmization (checked using YSlow). As I said I'm still working, I have made some priority as I can devote very little time. More priority to visual aspect and to drive quality traffic, then I might be working on performance.
I know blog posts are few but I am trying to post more resources.

However, please let me know your critics/ thoughts. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you see any kind of discrepancies or if you have any queries.

Appreciate your time & feedback in advance.

    Thanks

Damn bro, it looks good. You did an awesome job.

I really like the colors, and just the clean simplicty. Also the sites you showcase are really nicely done as well.

Overall very nicely designed site, but as you're advertising yourself as a webdesigner then that's what I'd expect

It's quick to load especially considering the amount of graphical information and nicely laid out as well as being userfriendly.

The only issues I have are minor, a few slight grammatical errors and your site isn't valid XHTML as it says it is so I'd either fix that or remove the link to check.

Very nice design. Is it based on a WP theme or did you build it from scratch?

It looks alright. It isn't anything special to be honest. Looks basic and to the point. Compared to other portfolio sites I would never hire you. Your work looks amateurish and unprofessional.

Your site looks great. The only thing I would change is the header. I like it but it is too big.

    Thanks

I think it's a nice open site. I am not sure what's up with the fonts though. Reading your copy strains my eyes

I think its great ... definitely not amateurish as jonathan says.. two technical things
    • Affordable Price on home page.. "price" drops down
    • "You are here:" is that supposed to be a breadcrumb thing? ... not necessary

I'm sure it does, got couple of responces in the same line regarding font. I'll be switching to other font soon. Thank you for reviewing the website.

-Which browser (and version) and resolution you experienced this? would be great if you can share.
    • "You are here:" is that supposed to be a breadcrumb thing? ... not necessary
yes, my intension is to have a breadcrumb. However not yet integrated the suitable code.
Actually This is my first website in wordpress framework. I think i should be able to fix in sometime.

I can tell you're bit bored w/ the work. Definitely, you got a great portfolio. What you're making is Web Site and not Web Application. Making a Web Site is pretty easy..therefore there's a lot of competition. Become a Web Application developer and you'll make a lot more money.

Depending on your cost I might have some spare freelance type of work for you.

Drop me a PM please with "graphic work" in the subject

I agree it looks good but slightly amateurish - none the less it's possibly right in line with what I am looking for my needs

Its not too bad, the only things i would change: (as mentioned previously possibly)

    - I'm seeing distorted text, using firefox on windows vista.
    - the "you are here" section, is not required/looks out of place. I think this has been mentioned.
    - If I where you I would change the page title text - its quite "blocky"
    - Increase the size of you're footer to include more information: links, phone number, email etc.
    - Increse the space @ the bottom of the logo to match the space @ the top, it's not even.

Apart form these things youre fine, as always youre blog/portfolio should always be work in progess and evolve over time.

    Paul

Appreciate your feedback and thoughts. I do enjoy what I'm doing. However I do not wish to constrain myself, I want to explore other horizons however I do not have enough expertise to develop web applications. I wish I could devote sometime to learn unexplored areas.
