random echo char

    hey guys,

    I echo this

    echo "

there is a £35 delivery charge";

    I get this

    "there is a £35 delivery charge"

    why is the  there and how do i get rid of it? I've tried deleting the space before and then re-spacing it..

    Thanks,

    net.

    Its because £ is not a valid ACSII character, you need to use the symbol code for it which is & #163; <-- Remove the space between & and #

    You can view more symbol codes here http://www.web-source.net/symbols.htm
