    AOL /Google is complete

AOL is now powered by Google , looks like a direct unaltered feed to me.

sweet. I've been looking forward to this for awhile - I expect a traffic gain of maybe as much as 30%, that could put me over the 2m a month mark.

as of right now aolsearch.aol.com still uses Inktomi

aolsearch is where AOL members search

search.aol.com is where you search if you go to AOL.com and then search

Well I just did a search at aolsearch.aol.com and search.aol.com and got exactly the same results at both which were not a pure feed of the google index but blended results.

doesn't Yahoo also use Google? I know that the University I go to uses the google search engine as their internal search engine.

Google is taking over the world!

Back when AOL used DMOZ for primary results I got a large chunk of traffic from them, When they switched to Inktomi it stopped, but then AV came alive again and picked up the slack.

Now, after 6 months or so of Inktomi, I'm not getting as much traffic from AOL as I thought (of course this IS the weekend also). Perhaps AOL users got sick of Inktomi and stopped using AOL's search altogether.

inkotmi is okay when it comes to results actually. I think AOL has just fallen in popularity a bit.

So what's the deal? I've seen virtually no increase in traffic from AOL, despite the fact that Google is my top referrer and I was virtually non-existent on aolsearch.aol.com before the switch. Any ideas?

So I've heard. I just cant fathom the notion that my referrals have stayed the same when my site jumped from nowhere to the number 3 spot for my top keywords.
