    Playing frames in the revers order?

    Hi all

    Is it possible in flash (or swish or any other application) to play the frames in the reverse order?

    For example can we make a button which plays the frames beginning from 50 to 10?

    Hello

    I do not know how to make the playhead play in reverse, but you can copy the frames in question, by highlighting them and right clicking copy.

    Then insert a blank keyframe where you want to place them in reverse order and paste the frames into that keyframe, then highlite all those frames and right click and select reverse frames.

    I do not know if this is exactly what you wanted, but it should work.

    Hope it is helpful, if not post again and I will try harder.

    onEnterFrame = function() {

    backFrame = theClip._currentframe - 1;

    if (backFrame >= 10) {
    theClip.gotoAndStop(backFrame);
    } else {
    delete this.onEnterFrame;
    }

    }

    In this case, "theClip" would be whatever timeline you want to play backwards, and the value 10 is only there because you wanted the movie to play back until frame 10. Change this value to 1 if you want it to play all the way to the beginning.

    You can also create variables for the start and end frame and use those to control where it will start and end, so you can reuse the function in diffferent instances.

    Also, this probably isn't the most efficient way of doing it, but it should work.

    i have the following...

    Code:
    for(_global.flag_p_on_loop = true; _root._currentframe > (_global.p_over_no - 1);) {
    	_root.prevFrame();
    }
    this supposedly will play till the currentframe is equal to some number (i.e. p_over_no - 1). it works, however, the playback is just DAMN TOO FAST... any way around this w/o putting a pause on each of the frames where the loop goes to?
