    How much can you make?

It really depends on the content of your site. If your site is about online casinos or web hosting, then 1000 unique visitors per day = potential revenue of $500-1000 per day. If your site is about something like gaming, potential revenue is much less ??? $20 per day if you work it well.

You mention hits. What are you calling a hit? You mention hits/page views. Hits aren't usually page views. Some people refer to hits as http requests, and some people refer to hits as unique visitors.

Anyway, if you are getting 1700 page views per day, that still doesn't tell us how much money you can make. If you have a content site you might make $1 per day. If you have an ecommerce site you could be making a significant amount of money.

If it's 2300 people a day looking for jokes, not much.

If it's 2300 people a day looking to buy houses, call your local Rolls Royce dealer.

Not bad, you might try selling software. Try some software selling programs at ClickBank, FineClicks, AffiliateFuel and DirectLeads.

Why is content not worth much?

I have a content site oriented to english second language teachers:

    This audience:

    - is educated
    - has credit cards
    - has jobs
    - travels lots
    - buys stuff on the net
    - etc.

Should I only expect $1 CPM?

    Hi Philip,

You shouldn't just accept $1 CPM. Always try to increase your income. Be innovative, always try expanding your business and boosting your revenue. If you fail, learn from it, and move on.

I think with an audience with credit cards and the type that buy online, you should be able to make a lot more than $1 CPM. Try finding your own advertisers and people to sponsor your site as well. Don't quit, stay postive, and have fun with what you do

    LOL

Yeah, uhh, 1000 uniques a day for a casino site would make $500 to $1,000 per day? No, sorry, we all WISH. That's what everyone would be doing if that were the case.

1000 uniques for the average site per day, you're looking at $100 to $200 per month, NOT $20 per day. Dang, I only wish, I'd just quit college now. I'd be making a solid $8,000 per month at least, haha.
