I don't usually have much of a sweet tooth. But oil and salt is another story.
eg. Potato Chips - Love them! Buttery Popcorn - yumm! Bacon and Eggs - you bet!

Ironically I weigh only 120 pounds so I need all the calories I can get. But I never get any sympathy for my under-weight problem from others

Hand-sliced biltong. Straight from the butcher/deli. None of this shrink-wrapped stuff.

I love yogurt, frozen or just cold. I also make popcorn with butter and salt, a nice piece of fruit like a peach or an orange, a piece of chocolate, a chunk of cheese with some bread I make. A nice cold smoothy fills the afternoon craving too. Sometimes I eat a big half sour pickle as a snack. Or a big spoon full of peanut butter and a banana.

I snack on nuts pretty much all day long. All kinds, but not huge amounts.

Ken you sound like a big fuzzy bear feasting on honey to fatten up for the winter months

Back to the question - Well about 3 months ago I changed my diet so right now I'm only really having protein shakes and my dinner so there are no snacks for me - sometimes I might treat myself to a hard boiled egg *partayyy*

@Allan - I do sympathise with your weight issue - I know people who are underweight and they have major problems with how they feel about themselves and find it hard to put the weight on no matter what they eat it's not about how we all look, it's about how we feel ....so who cares what you weigh as long as you're happy with yourself and you're in good health that's all that matters

Cookies and Kit Kats. But I have about 3 milkshakes a week (from Chic-fil-A). I am too about 20 pounds under my suggested weight. With all the shakes that I drink, I have gained about 1 pound the last year!

chocolate and coffee, that's food for men

I love cheese too. i use to buy all kind of cheese and put it on some fresh bread. i like cream cheese a lot like "white castello" or the softer "philadelphia", but also moldy cheese like "gamalost", "blue castello" or "danish blue".

smoothy or milkshake is also something i like to enjoy

well, it seems like the winter months are here as we have only had a few sunny days so far this summer. today it's 8 degree celsius and if you add strong wind and heavy rain to it, you know how our summer feels

it's not that difficult to eat less and still live normal
during the winter when i do this hard work, i can live on a slice of bread for a day or two with no problem, and this can go on for 2-4 months, and i can lose up to maybe 10 kg during this time.
this winter i lost over 8kg the first month of work.

the body ajust itself to what you give it. of course there is limits, but in a normal way...

i love cakes and cookies. I bake it myself, or buy it - and in some cases i get it from friends and family.

Maryland cookies are my favorite cookies if i am buying it, and i can eat a truckload of it with milk or coffee

I baked a really nice pumpkin pie this year. I ought to do another one. Too bad I can't e-mail food.

It's more of a discipline really, a lifestyle change if you like - it's only temporary this strict protein diet until I get to where I want to be then it'll be a gradual yet sensible increase in food but not by much really I might go all out and have lunch one day - I've never been into food much to be honest, I think most of us eat out of boredom or just for a social aspect when you're going out or having people over - I do splurge now and again but they are very few and far between

lol @ thinkin of me during dinner - Hey, I happen to have a lovely filling dinner! Today for example I'll be having hot chillified rice with chicken curry and more chilli pepper *drools*

I dont think it's a good idea to just live on a slice of bread, especially with all that hard work you need all the energy you can get! And if you burn it off it should be food paradise for you!

@Shaun - Those brownies are going straight to your hips

@Saul - I never pictured you as a cookie monster

there is no time to eat, but you get used to it. you get a slice of bread and a cup of coffee - you can't survive in this work if you don't drink coffee

but of course when there is time to eat, we eat like pigs hahaha

is it soft, or is it like eating a rock ? i sometimes use to make homemade caramel, thick and soft so it melts in your mouth. i don't like caramel if it's hard like a rock.

for a little snack i will make pancakes with honey, sirup, cream and strawberries this afternoon

It's caramel chocolate. Not chocolate with caramel, but the chocolate itself is caramel, so the same consistency like any chocolate bar. Imagine white chocolate, except that caramel chocolate is beige, not white.

    Woah! Hold the phone!

Crazy, did you say a BOX of honey? Am I missing something? I don't think I've ever even seen/heard of boxed honey.

I'm big on Tapioca pudding and peanut butter toast lately.

Oh BTW Wiz, an exceptionally well made pumpkin pie is otherworldly. I think you should give it a go.

peanut butter toast - now I've never had that - I used to love cheese and tomato toasties with mustard

@pumpkin pie...hmm it would seem odd eating it really as we have only ever used it as a halloween prop/decoration - I would try it though just to see though what it was like

Here we call just the cooked bread toast. I just put peanut butter onto it, and, voila, peanut butter toast. No toasting of peanut butter occurs; although, that sounds really good actually. Peanut butter is just so oily, I'm sure it'd sweat in no time and make the bread weird.

SOTD will send you a pie. Right Shaun?
    Long live the pumpkin pies!

well, i burn a lot of calories (walk to and from fridge, turn from side to side in the sofa etc..) so it's no problem, i also have dessert after dinner

today as the weather is getting better we will bbq, and have homemade applecake, real ice cream with real vanilla - no phony stuff here

    the menu is this:

    Dinner:
fresh bread, homemade salad, dressing, potato salad, baked potato, baby back ribs, smoked pork ribs and marinated ham.

    dessert:
homemade apple cake, with ice cream and vanilla sauce and ice cream with real vanilla.

yes i did say a box of honey. i only get canned honey here. there are exactly 1 pound in each box, and i have eaten several boxes now

    what is this Tapioca pudding?

a pumpkin doesn't look that delicious.. nor does it smell like a rose. but no wine should be untasted...

what is it with peanut butter? i don't think it's good, it's more like something i would mix with cement to build me a bomb-shelter with or something...

cheese and salami or cheese and Pâté toasties are not bad
