Is that worth 299$ paying YAHOO?

I want to include my new domain name registration site in Yahoo catalog of domain name registration.

but there is no free service, only I have to pay for USD 299 yearly fee.

    Too expensive?

And I have seen there are already many sites listed there, so my site will be not "visible" with potential endusers in such a long list?

Anyone can tell me how I can start?

How much do you make per domain? Divide $300 by that number and guestimate on whether or not you can make that in a year from Yahoo sent leads.

I think it would also depend on your name/title. If you know you aren't going to rank well ahead of a time it isn't going to be as worth it.

Personally, I would do it if sales or profit are you absolute objectives in running the site. If it is a hobby site or non-profit one, submit it for free and cross your fingers.
