Difficulty using Word press

hello !

Please give me some guide about the use of Wordpress....I am trying to submit an article on the web but im a little confuse about few things...

Please let me know what are the 'tags' mean? How can i fill the Tags space, Moreover, what should i do with the Excerpt space? Can i left it empty

Tagging is used to categorise your posts according to key themes in it. Use a couple but not more than maybe 5.

Excerpt, well you don't need it right now, probably never will. Basically it provides you with the opportunity to write a small paragraph or two summarising/introducing the full article, more info and where it is implemented/seen: http://codex.wordpress.org/Excerpt

Blogger is easier to use than Wordpress. Being a user friendly is a big factor in hosting a blog.
