Can you filter with Akismet?

The Spam link on the WP Dashboard is connected to Akismet right? Client is saying that several of their comments in spam folder are very legit and I said I'd take a look at the filters. Is that possible? I went to Akismet Configuration but didn't see the option. Anyway to change this or they just have to live with it and need to check the spam folder regularly.

it doesn't do it correctly the first time but it learns and then you won't have to review any of the comments that it marked as spam.
