what exactly are you talking about? Twitter and Facebook are not out of date. They are the market leaders in their respective market segments, i.e. social networks and micro blogging.

You could develop your own website and integrate Twitter and Facebook in it by utilising their respective APIs.

That's all I can say without a little bit more information from you.

I didn't get your point tozp, both sites are the top social networking websites these day.

We've been using these methods in generating traffic and marketing:
    -----------------------
    Facebook:
    1. Add people/send friend request using the "Are You Interested" application
    2. Creating of the website's own Group and then invite your contacts to (join) the group

    Twitter:
    1. Use keywords on your profile that is related to your website/business (ie; "#dating, #travel)
    2. Share links on your profile, while talking about non-business too.

The fact that Facebook has about 500 million users and is always evolving shows how totally inaccurate what you have just said is.
