I've got a quick question for you all. I've searched and searched on adobe.com but I can't seem to find the answer.

Does Photoshop 5.5 support dual processors?

Does it gain speed from both, or can it only use one processor? This is the big decision-maker for me, cause I have a choice of one or two procs to get for a new computer.

    Thanks in advance!

Here's a page I found that claims Photoshop 5 supports dual processors.
    http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/tips/photoshop5perf.html

Scroll down until you get to the maroon text. It says...
    <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote/font><HR>
Photoshop 5 is listed as supporting symmetric multiprocessing under Windows NT, and the PC was running the MP kernel. Adobe's Photoshop 5 Features page has it listed near the bottom - here is Adobe's quote:

" Support for symmetric multiprocessing under Windows NT, and under Mac OS systems that support Apple's multiprocessor API"
    <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

And here's someone who was using the dual processing capability of PS. http://www.peimag.com/free_for_all/messages/713.htm
