Hi. I was wondering what the best way is to split up large images for use in tables? Is there a program out there that can do a nice job of this? Right now I just use my graphic program to split them up but I always have to do it over and over so that the pictures go together right.
Well I use photoshop 5.5 which comes bundled with Adobe Image Ready, it is by far the best program I have come across and it also is a great web graphic opimizer, the added ability to create animation and rollovers makes it my prefrance for most of my web graphic designs when using PhotoShop aswell.
In Photoshop 5.0, you can press CTR R and a ruler appears. Then click on the horizontal ruler to get a horizontal line. Click on the verticle ruler to get a verticle line. You drag one you click on a ruler to a point where you want it. Oh it's kinda hard for me to explain here. They have a great tutorial at http://www.designsbymark.com.

I use Fireworks 3.0 from Macromedia and it offers almost perfectly integrated slicing and Javascript effects in graphics. Which program do you use currently?
