    Trying to Add Atomz Search Engine to My Site

    I am trying to make my site outlooksecurity.com
    I am having some difficulty adding the atomz search to my site. I bought a template with both a drop down menu and a search box.

    This is the code that I need to fix (where it says <input type=text> is where the search engine is supposed to be)

    ------------------------------------------------------------
    <form name="jump">
    <script>
    function jumpMenu(){
    location=document.jump.menu.options[document.jump.menu.selectedIndex].value;
    }
    </script>

    <td width=50% height="31" align=right background="../img/search_bg.gif"><img src="../img/search1.gif" width="88" height="31" border="0" alt=""></td>
    <td background="../img/search_bg.gif"><input type="text"></td>
    <td background="../img/search_bg.gif"><img src="../img/go.gif" width="47" height="31" border="0" alt="GO!"></td>
    <td><img src="../img/browse.gif" width="82" height="31" border="0" alt=""></td>
    <td background="../img/search_bg.gif"><select name="menu">
    <option>Please Select A Category</option>
    <option value="http://www.outlooksecurity.com/stunguns.htm">Stun Guns</option>
    <option value="http://www.outlooksecurity.com/taserguns.htm">Taser Guns</option>
    <option value="http://www.outlooksecurity.com/peppersprays.htm">Pepper Sprays</option>
    <option value="http://www.outlooksecurity.com/macesprays.htm">Mace Sprays</option>
    <option value="http://www.outlooksecurity.com/knives.htm">Knives</option>
    <option value="http://www.outlooksecurity.com/diversionsafes.htm">Diversion
    Safes</option>
    <option value="http://www.outlooksecurity.com/spygear.htm">Spy Gear</option>
    <option value="http://www.outlooksecurity.com/childsafety.htm">Child Safety</option>
    <option value="http://www.outlooksecurity.com/animalrepellents.htm">Animal Repellents</option>
    <option value="http://www.outlooksecurity.com/homeprotection.htm">Home Protection</option>
    <option value="http://www.outlooksecurity.com/metaldetectors.htm">Metal Detectors</option>
    <option value="http://www.outlooksecurity.com/safetylights.htm">Safety Lights</option>
    <option value="http://www.outlooksecurity.com/personalalarms.htm">Personal Alarms</option>
    <option value="http://www.outlooksecurity.com/miscellaneous.htm">Miscellaneous</option>
    <option value="http://www.outlooksecurity.com/onsale.htm">ON SALE!</option>
    </select></td>
    <td width=50% background="../img/search_bg.gif"><a href="Javascript:jumpMenu()">
    <img src="../img/go2.gif" width="50" height="31" border="0" alt="GO!"></a></td>
    </form>

    ------------------------------------------------------------
    this is what atomz says needs to be put:

    <form method="get"action="http://search.atomz.com/search/">
    <input size=15 name="sp-q"><br>
    <input type=submit value="Search">
    <input type=hidden name="sp-a" value="sp10021ec8">
    <input type=hidden name="sp-f" value="ISO-8859-1">
    </form>
    ------------------------------------------------------------

    i think the problem is that the search box form cant be put in the dropdown menu form. i would appreciate any help.

    Thank you,
    Bryan

    I gotta disagree wiht you buddy. I use atomz search myself and it is very easy to set up.

    Though at mattscriptsarchive, you can get what you want...atomz makes it way easier for you.

    You can also customise the results page.

    A few months ago, I wanted to move away from atomz too, i posted my dilemma [i thought atomz gave the site a cheapish look] here and in the end, I decided to stick with it.
