In reference to a previous Google question on database updating

I think I read in an older thread that Google was in the process of trying to update from once a month to twice a month. I just wanted to know if that was a rumor or are they currently in the process of doing so.

Thanks, I guess I'm so anxious because after finally realizing I got my listing into Google now I have to wait for them to update my page/title/description and spider some sites I'm link too and link to me....

Googlehas always been trying to decrease their update time.... They're still on a once a month schedule though. Back in Febuary I think it was they did manage to switch it to two weeks, but then they switched back immediately and actually didn't get regular again until April.

To spider just over 2 billion pages is no easy feat. It takes them alot of time to do that. Fast updates around once two weeks but their results are not as good as google's.
