As some of you know I got into the hobby of rubiks cube solving a little while ago.
Small update on that. As of today, I have solved
3x3x3
4x4x4]
5x5x5
7x7x7 <--(this baby was toughhhh)

A few to go before you reach a 20 x 20 x 20 cube, which is the biggest cube that I've seen mentioned on the net

I'm just still delighted at now being able to do the 3x3x3 cube!! Can't imagine trying the larger ones.
7x7x7 is unreal to me...So 20x20x20 is really impossible to imagine, support or see...You need Einstein's brain for it![]()

this is nothing, I do the 1x1x1...amatuers!
Show me the 1x1x1 please! It must be great !

no no, its the 1x1x1 its a special Irish one, made just for me, cause im "that" good![]()
I've spent too many hours on the 1x1x1. I finally peeled the color labels off and moved them back to normal. Would you believe I set it down for a minute and it's somehow messed up again. Gremlins.

Excellent post !
Ryan, there is a variant that I saw which instead on color faces, each face has the numbers 1 to 9 and I think you just have to make sure that you don't have any duplicate numbers on any face.

Thats cool man. After some posts here I bought a 3x3.
I am only able to solve 1 side though, I can't get the rest.

A 9 x 9 x 9 cube with a sudoku grid on each face would be a good challenge for you ryan

I thought the same for the 7x7x7 (once I completed the 5x5x5)
Now that I know this one switching method the 9x9x9 would only take me longer. It wouldn't be harder.
Besides, a 9x9x9 isn't even out (and I don't wanna mess with virtual software)
And I love how he puts the algorithms on the screen for us. Makes it much easier![]()

Ignorami I believe.

Is it a club ? It was a movie with an infinite cube and rooms...

Update update-
I ordered the Haiyan Memory Cube (best 3x3x3 in teh world, was used in guiness world record and championships)
And I have this algorithm memorized (those of you who know what this is will be impressede
2U*, 2L*, 2U, 2l, 2U, 2L*, 2U*, R, U`, L, 2U, R, U`, R, L`, U`, L, 2U, R`, U, L`, U
That algorithm is for a 4x4x4 parity case..22 turns long..ridiculous :O

Huh, I use the exact same algorithm when playing Minesweeper. WEIRD.
So, what about the time, Ryan - how close are you to breaking the 1min mark?
2U*, 2L*, 2U, 2l, 2U, 2L*, 2U*, R, U`, L, 2U, R, U`, R, L`, U`, L, 2U, R`, U, L`, U
I'll try it ! Thanks![]()

Looks easy but its actually hard

Well I just got my new Haiyan cube .
I haven't done a 3x3x3 for a month since I gave it to my friend since I was getting this one. I now have it and my average (a month ago) was 1 minute 15 seconds. Now that I started back up, it's around 1 minute 28 seconds.
I plan on getting down to 1 minute 10 seconds, then I will start learning the fridrich method, which could potentially get my time down to 15 seconds per solve.
There are 119 algorithms to memorize (I have great memory though)
[edit]Just got 1:20 and 1:17.
