I know this is somewhat off-topic to what you're looking for, but AFAIK most of the SitePoint Books have free sample chapters in ebook format.

I'm looking for a place to give away my eBook so others can use it as a gift for building their list.

Hi Peter Antonio, welcome to the forums!

Anyway, IMHO the best place to do that would be your own website/blog.

For that, the SitePoint forums is the place to be as you'll get all kinds of help and advice from choosing a host, what application(s) to use, how to design it, how to customize it, etc. etc. essentially every step in the process needed to get you from start to finish (as if any website is ever really "finished" )
