    php and netbpm

I have installed a script on my site that builds png images on the fly using gd.

    Unfortunately it doesn't work.

I have discovered that my host doesn't have gd installed as well as zlib, they have just gzip, deflate.

Now, I really would like to install this script ..

    .. what should I do ?

I have already installed binary versions of netbpm but I do not know how to call these little tools from php.

And of course I should port the script to netbpm, shouldn't I ?

Can you give me tips or directions?

    Thanks a lot,

    powergen

All you can do is ask your host to install GD and compile support for it in to PHP. Without it you're stumped.

Couldn't use you the dl() function? It looks like it might work. http://php.net/dl

dl() only works if A: The host has it enabled, and B: The requires extensions actually exist on the server. Many hosts dont have the extension binaries present, but prefer to compile them into the core module...
