Hidden Text ( Well Letter )??

    Hi all

Simple question.... I know it is a no no no no to include hidden text on a page i.e text the same colour as the page background.

However there are occassions that I do place a single letter at the top of a page ( because of graphics ) and colour this the same as the page backgroung, in order to place an invisible link to it from the bottom of the page.

Do you think I will cause any trouble for myself ( spamming )with this practice?

    Regards

No, it's a letter not text. You should be fine.

you could possibly still get in trouble. If you think about it a search engine isn't going to be looking for what you say in your invisibly text, they'll simply be looking for text with the same color as the background.

Why do you need to put it there anyways? An anchor link does not need a text anchor to function.

    Hi

I will be safe and remove the hidden letter.

The reason whay I use this format is that I grew up with Microsoft FrontPage and this was the only way to do it....
I suppose I got into a habit and continued it.

Anyway thanks aspen I will try placing the hidden link without the letter.

    Regards
    Bobf

You know you can also make it a "." or a "," within your text somewhere if you want to hide it.
