    Newbie to css - need resource to accomplish this..

    Hi all

    I haven't used css's much and if I'm not wrong i can convert this:

    <body bgcolor="#ffffff" alink="#800000" vlink="#0000ff" link="#0000ff" text="#000000" bottommargin="10" leftmargin="10" marginheight="10" marginwidth="10" rightmargin="10" topmargin="10">

    to:

    body { .... }something..

    but i don't know which attributes i can include in the css file..

    what i need is, a resource where i can find "the attributes of body (just an example)".. or for example "attributes applicable to p tag"..

    question may seem basic or funny.. i hope it's not..

    thanks in advance

    Here's the CSS you need:
    Code:
    body {
      background-color: #ffffff;
      color: #000000;  /* Sets font colour */
      margin: 10px;
    }
    a:link {
      color: #0000ff;
    }
    a:active {
      color: #800000;
    }
    a:visited {
      color: #0000ff;
    }
    As for CSS reference for individual elements, http://msdn.microsoft.com/ has some useufl stuff for this if you don't mind wading through their horific navigation.

    Thanks for your work Skunk!

    What i'm looking for in fact is something like this:

    "the attributes that can be used for body are:

    margin, color, background etc. etc.

    for P are:

    font, font-weight, etc. etc."

    I'll try the link you provided, if i manage to return form Microsoft's site ! I'll see you again

    bye for now and thanks again

    Lightbulb The dev guru can help!

    I found this site to help me a lot. It gives you a list of attributes, and examples of how they work.

    CSS doesn't have strict properties such that you're thinking of. All properties can be applied to all selectors, but some have different effects, depending on which element they're applied to.
