yes you are right but i do not use dreamweaver because i program in HTML open source. I do not use any WYSIWYGI programs.

since i do not want to download Dreamweaver and pay 300 bucks for it, there are stand alone programs for use.

would you know of any? thanks again for your help, though...

anyone know of a good windows image mapping appl.?
i use mac for my graphics but i need one for my windows machine.

Dreamweaver has an excellent image map building program built right into it.

Have you checked out CuteMap??

It is part of the CuteFTP package from GlobalScape and the student rate is only $20 (plus $8 s/h).

You can create an image map quickly...

You can also download a trial version for '30 days' just to see if you like the programs before you buy...CuteFTP, CuteHTML and CuteMap are all included on the CD that that I bought.

And their tech support couldn't be better - I emailed them 2x and they got back to me the next day!

MapMaker32 is a nice little program I came acroos and is freeware. You can download it at http://members.tripod.com/~mharing/mapmaker.html
