    How could I code this?

    Hello all,

    I've attached an image to this post so I can give you a little bit of an idea what I'm trying to do.

    I know how to code most of it however the main item I cannot figure out anyway to code is the purple bar that is located to the far right.

    Whenever the user clicks on a tab this bar will be refreshed with the title of the current page the user is on.

    However I cannot figure out any way to code this or even how to display it properly. No matter what I've tried I cannot seem to find anything that works. Also, at the moment I'm not sure whether this can be accomplished with HTML alone or whether it would require ASP or something similar.

    Any help on how to code this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

    You should be able to have a nice table at the top for it

    maybe something like this:

    Code:
    <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
      <tr>
        <td>Put you're logo image here</td>
        <td bgcolor="#yourcolor"width="200">Text Here</td>
      </tr>
    </table>

    yep. i agree with plat. u should have a table made with indiviudal images of tab activated and inacivated for the purpose so that when a person clicks, refreshed page would have the activated tab. table would do the purpose.

    If you made it an image, you could just use javascript to replace the image.... or you could use an i-frame

    Maybe this is way too simple, but I assume the tabs are links right? Let's say you are at home.html, and you click on the tab links, and you are sent to links.html.
    Couldn't you just replace the "Home" in the purple bar with "Links" in the links.html document then?

    Thanks for the advice but what I'm really having problems with is getting the bar to be displayed at the end of the page.

    If you look at the image you will see that the purple bar is right next to the scrollbar.

    Unfortunately when I tried using the table with width=100% as suggested above...the image wouldn't go right to the scrollbar. Instead it stops a little short which then makes the page look a little weird.

    Do you know how I could get the purple bar right to the where the scrollbar starts???

    Add this to your body tag:

    Code:
    <body marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" rightmargin="0" leftmargin="0" bottommargin="0" topmargin="0">
    Or, if you value standards highly, follow the CSS route:

    Code:
    body {
    margin: 0px;
    }

    Also, if the image is in a table, be sure to make the margin, cellpadding, and cellspacing equal to 0!
