I think understanding women is half understaning women and half being around women you understand. Equally important elements.

    Goes for men too.

Become her psychiatrist. She'll tell you everything. That's how I got so close to my last g/f, and how I'm so close to the girl who may be my next girlfriend

    Honestly,

I think you have a better chance of designing a site that works in every browser/device imaginable than we fellas have of understanding women. My grandparents have been married well over 50 years and I know for a fact my grandfather doesn't fully understand my grandmother. He told me the secret to the game is realizing that you'll never completly understand women. Once you know that it's a breeze if you've found the right one...

Oh and BTW the name of the song about big butts is called "Baby Got Back" by Sir-Mix-Alot. One of the funniest things I've ever experienced in life is seeing my then ~75yr. old grandmothers reaction to the video of that song. Pure comedy!!!

I don't know. I've never been able to design a site that works perfectly in both IE and netscape, netscape always manages to mess it up somehow.

Understanding wouldn't be that hard, aren't they working on some mind-reading device at that one university?

I no longer care for women. I have meditated long and hard, causing something too.... change in my body. It is quite odd, but I am thankful for the change.

    I can see the headline...

Man meditates too hard - wee-wee falls off.

This may make me sound like a total a**hole, but there are definitely little rules to follow that'll make you more appealing to most women. And vice versa.

I don't mean to get all "dating advice columnist" on anyone, but if I had to offer up just one piece of advice to someone starting a relationship (or trying to start a relationship), it'd be this: don't appear too eager. That's really the best way I can put it without writing you a novel.

It doesn't necessarily apply if you're already in a long-term relationship...but in general, I find that a little bit of implied apathy...a hint at independence...can do wonders. Women want to be made to feel special...but I don't think they want to be fawned over by someone they hardly even know, either. It reeks of desperation. They want to be paid attention to, but they don't usually like it if the guy appears to have no life outside of them.

That's my opinion, at least. I've found it holds up time and time again, though. Girls aren't all that complicated...not much more complicated than guys, at least. There's just more EFFORT on the part of the guys, which means you have more advice floating around, which, in turns, means you have more BOGUS advice floating around. Hence, girls appear ridiculously complicated.

C'mon Russell, you can't avoid it! What was this technique of yours? Tantra? You watched American pie 2 too much? You don't like girls, because of meditation!? Tha takes some will power. I can't even meditate for 1 minute without getting bored.

Then you must remove boredom from your mind. Return to your breath, and allow your thoughts to flow through you, easily like the flight of an eagle.

I was going to say almost exactly this. I had an ex-boyfriend like this once. At first, it was kinda flattering. After a few months it was downright annoying. It's all about balance

One thing never to talk about with a girl: LAN parties. Nerdiest thing ever. (I have this new theory that the whole problem with 20-something dating is video games; seems like guys are more interested in them than they are in us).

Oh, and girls are human, just like everyone else. They screw up sometimes, and they get confused sometimes, especially in those volatile teenage years. You just have to go with the flow

I've got a theory too. My theory is that if you are the kind of guy that does like computer games, surely the best girl for you would be the one that also likes computer games. Don't you agree? Join the IT club at your local university, or enrol for a computer science course. Chances are, there will be about one girl for every 10 guys. But they do exist, and you're the man!
