I was looking at using SSI for a page on NT to show the navigation bar.
I tried using the call shown in Matts' article but it just wouldn't work.
Any advice.
I remember reading about it in an earlier post but I can't seem to find it.

the first thing you need to check is that your IHP supports SSI calls and that they have it active on your site. lots of IHP's require that you request this option etc.
IF they don't support SSI then i'd leave them and find a new host.
Here is a call i use on a site that is hosted on an NT server
<!--#include virtual="/include/navbar.inc" -->
the "/" befor the include directory, tell the server to start at the root and work from there. some servers require that you tell the server to "back-up" if they need to.
my SSI tag might have to be
<!--#include virtual="../../../include/navbar.inc" -->
Play with it and see what works
