    lots of space around text in my input button?

    Basically I have used css to change the look of the standard input submit button, my css code is

    Code:
    input.button {
    	font-family:verdana,sans-serif;
    	font-size:8pt;
    	font-weight:normal;
    	margin:0px;
    	padding:0px;
    	color:#FFFFFF;
    	background-color:#0064AA;
    }
    and the present button looks like this (attached image)

    See all that empty blue space - can I get rid of that using css? as you can see I need a lot of text on each button and at the moment they are shooting way over the 800*600

    Any ideas people?

    Thanks

    (The advisors need to approve the image before it can be seen.)

    Anyway width would work but I have LOADS of different buttons each a different length so unless I classed each of them seperatly... I suppose I might then get it to fit?

    But its more that when you create a button and type a fair amount of text on it (in my case [Confirm Authorisation (on shelf]) you get more blank space before and after than you would typing [Submit], it must be a % of the word length for overall button length or something

    thanks though

    text-align:left;
    text-overflow: ellipsis;
    width: 200px;

    and add title="The same long text that you have in the value of the button" to the button
