No, because it's still way too cluttered and it could be better organized.

Reminds me of the ICQ homepage on its third-worst day.

The only thing worse than not putting anything on the main landing page is putting everything on the main landing page.

Too right, the good thing about Yahoo is their brand. I never go to Yahoo anymore.

Why you don't want go to Yahoo anymore? I like Yahoo very much because it is the fastest search engine. Yes, I know that Google is fast as well, but the interface is too plain and I don't like it. At least Yahoo has certain color links and tables whihc make the site more vivid.

I would go to Yahoo if they structured their directory properly. Instead I'll go with dmoz.org

The problem with Yahoo is that their directory is a pure advertisers directory and they have no motive to improve on it. Yahoo has gotten lazy!

For searching I google but I'm also warming towards alltheweb

I honestly don't see the improvement. Sure they changed the graphics but the page isn't much better than the old one besides that.

I am also someone who doesn't go to Yahoo anymore. They may be fast but their results are irrelevant to what I am searching for 90% of the time. Since I have to go to the web results (supplied by Google) anyway, why go through a middleman?

The only service that I use from Yahoo is YahooGroups and only because so many people already have established groups there so I can find lists dealing with the topics I like.

    I don't see much difference.

The only reason I ever go to Yahoo is to do submissions.

Is it worth it, at $299 per year?

How much traffic can you expect to get from a yahoo submission?

I think the "refreshing" feeling may come from the combined psycho/physiological effect of having thousands of cool, refreshing blue links washing over the screen.

The changes really aren't all that drastic really. I like the use of color but it still appears cluttered. I do like the new buttons along the top quite a bit more though.

busy busy busy: I like the structure of the page, everything is more squared off, but it looks like they are going for the information density thing...
    Thanks...Chris

While it's definitely no great improvement, it's better than what it used to be. Nevertheless, it's nothing for them to try and excite people about. Oh well!
