    ah so i got everything working but search.php for some shows two search boxes

    here is the search.php page i am using:

    http://silver163.pastebin.com/tfFk5n7P

    and the header:

    http://silver163.pastebin.com/a3uTR5Y2

    but i don't see why it would display two search boxes in the search results only

    It seems to only appear on a search results page that returned no results, so I looked and see this on line 37:
    Code:
    <?php get_search_form(); ?>

    I can't say for sure. Try removing it and see if one of the search forms disappears on a search results page with 0 returned results. I searched for 'fish'

    i should write something about turtles, but i ran dummy content on the site to see what problems arise, and the question i got now is it possible to limit the number of recent blog posts:

    http://www.polar-pos.com/blog/

    you see how there is a long running list which is annoying.

    what is the code you are using to generate that list. Is it what I posted earlier on in this thread? if so:
    Code:
    <ul class="ln-list">
    <?php
     $postslist = get_posts('numberposts=4&order=ASC&orderby=date');
     foreach ($postslist as $post) :
        setup_postdata($post);
     ?>
      <li>
       <div class="ln-calendar"></div>
       <div class="ln-txt">
        <p><?php the_title(); ?></p>
        <span class="ln-date"><?php the_date(); ?></span>
       </div>
      </li>
    <?php endforeach; ?>
     </ul>
    In the "$postslist = get_posts" line change numberposts to the number you want.

    What you are trying to do took me almost a year to accomplish. I wrote an article and detailed tutorial - thanks for finally forcing me to get it up on the Internet.

    <script type="text/javascript" src="<?php bloginfo('template_directory'); ?> /js/custom.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    	Cufon.replace('h1, h2', { fontFamily: 'Anivers' });

    apparently the issue is with this line coming as null

    Code:
    	/* homepage slider parameters */
    here is the entire code:

    Code:
    $(document).ready(function() {
    	/* homepage slider parameters */
    	$('.home-slider').after('<div id="nav">').cycle({
    	fx:     'fade',
    	speed:  2000,
    	timeout: 5000,
    	pager:  '#nav'
    	});

    	/* entire block clickable for latest news */
    	$(".ln-list li").click(function(){
        	window.location=$(this).find("a").attr("href");
    		return false;
    	});

    	$(".ln-list li").mouseover(function(){
    		$(this).addClass('ln-active');
    		$(this).find("a").attr("class", "ln-link");

        }).mouseout(function(){
    	    $(this).removeClass('ln-active');
    		$(this).find("a").attr("class", "");
        });

    	/* entire block clickable for header contact box(present in all interior pages) */
    	$(".header-contact").click(function(){
        	window.location=$(this).find("a").attr("href");
    		return false;
    	});

    });
