An important feature of most smart phones is that applications for enhanced data processing and connectivity can be installed on the device, by contrast to regular phones which support sandboxed applications. These applications may be developed by the manufacturer of the device, by the operator or by any other third-party software developer. "Smart" functionality includes any additional interface including a miniature QWERTY keyboard, a touch screen, or even just secure access to company mail, such as is provided by a Blackberry.

Oh, and I'm a Crackberry user btw. Although I am suffering from a very real case of iPhone envy....
In Fact,I really don't know the cost,no one around me use it,so I don't have one way to know it.

From few month ago I started to use Blackberry and now I really get used on all feature. The best thing is that I don't have to turn on my laptop to check mails.

If your smartphone only has touch screen with no hard keys then it will take a while to get use to when texting.

    Make calls.

    Receive calls.

That's all I need my phone to do. I already spend too many hours staring at computer screens in my opinion. I don't need to spend my freetime staring at one too.

I sure wouldn't mind getting an iPhone, but I've heard so many people who have problems with service.

Access to email sounds like something I would like, but having Facebook and Twitter following me around at all hours of the day sounds like hell.

Yep, I just picked up the Android HTC yesterday and I love it...how ever did I survive with a regular phone? lol

I am just learning all the apps now but it seems pretty sweet. I mainly picked it up because it has development with Flash/Flex capabilities to develop your own apps..so that will be cool.

I still got the first gen of iPhone. It still works after I dropped it so many times and one time it was run over by a car.

I voted no. I used to have a smart phone and changed to another phone because you are required to purchase internet access if you want to send and receive pictures and videos.

I found myself not using the internet enough to justify paying the extra $40-50 for it, and I live 3k miles away from my family so its nice to get pictures and videos from them.

I love, love, love my Envy phone. I can read and start new text messages without opening my phone and open my phone to use the keyboard when ready to type a message. I love it so much, i want to hug it.
