is there any companys that charge under $500.00 that otomise a website for top10 link ranking? to the top search egines such as aol yahoo msn hotbot infoseek etc?

I'm sure there is, I for one bill hourly and I rarely work so many hours on one site that the total bill exceeds $500.
However you have to realize that no one can promise a top 10 ranking in a search engine, other than the search engine itself. It also takes time. Not alot of work time, but it can take 6 months to get a site from not-listed to number 1.
IF you do hire someone be sure that they can show you proof of their abilities. If they can't provide you with current high rankings that they've obtained don't use them.
You're probably better off doing this yourself though.
