Question SSI randomly not working ??

The server-side includes i use on my site randomly stopped working....i'm a little rusty with my html b/c i haven't worked on the site in a little while so I can't figure out the problem. But, the website used to appear okay and now it doesn't...

    it's at http://www.popehabitat.com
    the SSI pages are:
    http://www.popehabitat.com/topssi.html
    http://www.popehabitat.com/bottomssi.html

please, someone help! what could be wrong??!

    thank you!

In attempt to discern what file type you are using, I noticed that entering /gymaholic7/index.shtml redirects back to /gymaholic7/index.html .

Thus, I have to believe that the reason your SSI includes aren't working is because they only work on server-parsed pages, which typically are identified by the .shtml extension.

Yep, the SSI tags are showing up in your HTML which means that the server isn't executing them. I would rename the files as .shtml and see if it works. If that fails, try .htm for the includes. Good luck!

If the pages were working before but not now then it's possible that your host has made some changes to their configuration. If the above suggestions don't work then check with your host.
