    Cannot edit posts

I can no longer edit posts after making them, forcing me to double post in order to update something.

EDIT: Ok, It seems the problem is linked to the Javascript discussion forum - I was able to do an edit in this forum.

You have a set amount of time in which to make any edits. That gives you time to fix anything in what you typed but doesn't allow you to go back hours or months later to make changes.

I was unable to edit immediately after making the post though.

    Thread in question: http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/show...54#post4502954

I can edit the latest post but not the first two which where made a few hours ago. I've editted posts up to around a day old before so hmm...

Also, the automerge plug in should have kicked in shouldn't it?

You can only edit a post for a few minutes after posting it.

Be nice to know exactly what the time limit is to be able to edit posts.
