Hello everyone.

Does anyone know how to make an image look nice. Im working on a website and i have an image but im not really happy with the quality. Is there anyway i can make it clear or shining.

Hi Phil,

What is wrong with the quality (i.e. is it grainy, is it blocky, is it too dark/bright) and what kind of program are you using to edit it in?

Well i used pain shop pro to edit it. About the quality, it just dosnt look clean it looks ragedy and a litlle pixelated.

hehe you're right with the 'pain' shop pro reference...

OK, is the original file all messed up and pixelated? Or do you even have the original? If so, go back to this and re-edit.

If not, there ain't a lot that can be done with a dodgy image, except if you have photoshop - but even then the image would be hard pressed to look acceptable. Can you post the image anyhow? Or is there a URL to it?

@ 'pain' shop pro. well . i agree to what entropy said. if it really looks bad, u got to on ur own try the effects in the package and experiment and get the look. if u still cant work out. get a new software package like PS after getting a trial so u become familiar and then use it,,

Riiiiiight... post the picture and the origional, and I will tell you how to fix it

Paint shop pro is excellent, it is second best to photoshop IMO (I do however admit to using photoshop)

Well i dont have the image anymore Beacause i chose to use a different one, but i still would like to know how to clear up images forthe future. When i got the image of the site it was good quality but after i put a fade on it it just got pixelated for some reason. I export my image files as png, maybe thats teh problem.

I just read your other posts. Are you doing the site within Flash and your images look like crap.

Here is how you fix it

When you FILE > EXPORT your file (SWF) make sure to put the JPEG QUALITY AT 100!!!

I have a feeling that should fix your problem
