    Make way for 3ds max 5

    It's official - Discreet will be unveiling 3ds max 5 at this year's Siggraph in San Antonio. 18 months on from the launch of version 4, there have been some serious improvements in this new release.

    I said this a few times here, but it can look very daunting, but is actually very user friendly if you get to grips with the interface. Its got a lot going on Ill admit, but I find it just makes everything handy. You will find that you hardly ever have to use the drop down menus for anything, its all very accessible from the working GUI.

    Oh, and a big screen helps

    I d/l'ed a demo of bryce 3d.... woah, I have *no* and i mean no idea how to do anything!!! it just sits there and has zillions of buttons and options, arrhhagga!

    I dont know about you but I prefer my CINEMA 4D XL 7.3 that I use at the Local New Media center than 3Ds Max... reason being it takes so long to load up plus uses lots more memory than ever...

    May be some day I'd get a new state of the Art Machine then use them.. that would be the day I'll win the loto....

    I used to have Rhino 3D, when it was in Beta, and it has to be the best 3d modeling tool.

    One day I'm going to fork out the US$750 (AUS$1,500) for it.
