Good Font Library for Newspaper/Design Business?

I've been consulted by a friend as to what font library will offer the widest range of appropriate fonts to design and layout a small weekly newspaper. In addition she runs a design studio (business cards, brochures and the like). Her machines are comprised of only Macintosh.

Obviously, you can never have too many font choices. However, something like Adobe Font Folio 9, that contains the entire Adobe Type Library, is $9000.00.

    Any suggestions?

On LimeWire I got about 250 fonts just for MAC they are cool and they work for a lot of professional stuff. Wish I can say the same for my PC fonts.

Just do a search for MacFonts and it will come out in a SIT and its about 20-30 MB an dit works. All fonts work

It's just as illegal to download pirated fonts as it is to download pirated software. It's a good bet that most of the fonts you downloaded aren't free, Forlorn.

Remember, fonts are protected by copyright too.

A good idea Forlorn... however, we're purchasing the fonts for a legit business. All the fonts must be licensed.

Has anyone come across a font library that simply combines many popular typefaces (Futura, Univers, Berkley etc.) and offers a flexible alternative to purchasing individual fonts?

I'd like to make the purchase today.

    Cool

Fonts can be purchased individually, in groups, or in libraries. You should be able to find a price point on what you need. I work in graphics and have the entire Adobe font folio suite (tres cher), but you should have no problem!
