    Unhandled Exception After adding Ajax Control Toolkit

    Hi guys, I'd started with a web app project that is not Ajax Enabled. This time, it was suggested by some member of this society for me to make use of Maskedit of Ajax ControlToolkit. And so I download the earlier toolkit because I'm currently using VS.Net 2005 and .NET Framework v2.0. As I add the maskedit on my form and view my web app on IE I got this error
    Code:
    NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.]
       AjaxControlToolkit.MaskedEditExtender.OnLoad(EventArgs e) +113
       System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() +50
       System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() +141
       System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() +141
       System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() +141
       System.Web.UI.Control.LoadRecursive() +141
       System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) +627

    Looks like you got a null object used somewhere.

    For quick debugging you can take the code out of the try-catch block and run again to get more details on which object causing this.

    I guess, it's the MaskEditExtender from Ajax ControlToolkit causes the error because before I added the maskedit control, the web app doesn't have any error at all.

    I would suggest you go with jQuery/javascript approach. It might not be AS simple to implement. But it is much more light weight than MS ajax.
