I spotted (and blogged) that this morning - way to go Jeremy I'm planning to start using the pickle jar method tomorrow. If it works I'll owe you a virtual pint or two

    Let me know

This is supported by the analogy of a pickle jar, where you can fit more in the jar if you add the large pickles first before pouring in smaller pebbles and sand
Who said add large pickles first?!!! :reads article again: ... hmm...

I'm not seeing the whole story, I don't think...

Imagine if you will an, or for those crafty people among you just go get an, empty pickle jar. Big pickle jar, you could fit at least three of the largest pickles you’ve ever imagined inside of it. For those of you who don’t like pickles, I apologize, feel free to substitute the words “pancake jar” for “pickle jar” as needed.
is as far as I see

Okay, so you’ve got yourself a pickle jar. Now, put some large rocks in it. Put in as many as you possibly can. Let me know when it’s full. Now, I know you think it’s full, but put a couple more in anyway.
If you aren't seeing all of that, hit refresh. Sometimes IE doesn't render ALA properly (they are aware of this, but it's because of MS's rendering of certain elements).
