    Unhappy html email - really stuck! :(

    hi guys,
    Ive tried to email this html email from outlook to hotmail..
    Unfortunately in hotmail it gives a space between 2 rows/2 tables ie the email is broken up

    Could anyone help?
    Heres the HTML - send from your outlook to your hotmail to see:

    <html>
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
    <title>Untitled Document</title>
    </head>

    <body>

    <!-- 2 tables -->
    <table width="600" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td colspan="3"><img src="http://www.beyondyourdreams.co.uk/header2.jpg" width="600" height="224" border="0" alt="header" style="display:block"/></td></tr></table><table width="600" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td width="33">&nbsp;</td><td width="411">&nbsp;</td><td width="156"><img src="http://www.beyondyourdreams.co.uk/man.jpg" width="156" height="86" border="0" alt="man" style="display:block" /></td>
    </tr>
    </table>

    <!-- 2 rows -->
    <table width="600" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
    <tr><td colspan="3" height="224" style="height: 224px;" valign="top"><img src="http://www.beyondyourdreams.co.uk/header2.jpg" width="600" height="224" border="0" alt="header" style="display:block" /></td></tr><tr><td width="34" height="86" style="height: 59px;" valign="top">&nbsp;</td><td width="410">&nbsp;</td><td width="156"><img src="http://www.beyondyourdreams.co.uk/man.jpg" width="156" height="86" border="0" alt="man" style="display:block" /></td></tr>

    you dont have doctype in your html so using xhtml closing tags may give your error.

    so the email has a gap between the two tables?

    you could try putting everything in one container table e.g.

    Code:
    <table>
       <tr>
          <td>one row</td>
       </tr>
       <tr>
           <td>
               <table>
                 <td>two rows</td>
                 <td>two rows</td>
               </table>
           </td>
       </tr>
    </table>
    although its probably something simple like padding or cellspacing?

    hope that helps!

    if i save this table in one i don't have a break between the images. Just a hole for the banner or the dynamic content.

    i've inserted here the example form: test is here

    if you fill the form you will get a copy from the message.

    search on the internet: phpmailer and you will know what is it.

    capture the screen you have, and explain in more details what you need to change.
    if i save the two tables into one used
    Code HTML4Strict:
    <tr><td>  </td></tr>

    then i get this:
    watch

    you could try specifying the td heights, looks like something is forcing the table(s) larger than they should be?

    Code:
    <td colspan="3" style="height:224px"><img src="http://www.beyondyourdreams.co.uk/header2.jpg" width="600" height="224" border="0" alt="header" style="display:block"/></td>
    or failing that use the nested table method i suggested before and set the heights of the nested tables relevant to the hight of the images they hold.

    trial and error really, if i have a weird email rendering issue i usually try a few different things until something sticks!
