Can FTP be accessed after premission is...

If I give someone temporay FTP access, and they access some files,
and then I change their access password after they're done, but they haven't logged out yet, can they continue to access files until they log off?
Or are they bumped out the minute I change their password in cpanel?

There is only one way to find out: Test it.

I just tested it a few seconds ago. If they are already logged on and you change their password, they still have ftp access. What you can do though, is go to FTP Session Control to control sessions and then just press disconnect.

They have access until while they're connected and doing something. The server should automatically disconnect them if there has not been any activity during a certain period (for most servers, 15-30 min). After that, since the password was reset, they should not be able to log back in

If you really wanted to bump them off the server you could probably use the session killer in cPanel (I have read on another website it can manage FTP sessions), perhaps check with your host about the best way to implement / call this from your hosting package. But molona is correct in that their session will be dropped due to inactivity if they have not done anything on the server for a period of time (usually between 5 and 30 minutes).

I think their connection will be disconnected as soon as you change the password, but I am not sure about it.
