ok ok this is a little bit belated but also now very interesting to read ....
Italy has reacted with fury to Tuesday's shock 2-1 defeat to South Korea, accusing the referee and soccer's ruling body FIFA of fixing the match. Having seen the match, I can understand the complaint, but get a (wide) load of this:
Italian soccer club Perugia has cut its ties with South Korea's Ahn Jung-hwan after he scored the goal which knocked Italy out of the World Cup. Among things, Perugia's chairman Luciano (Boilhead) Gaucci has been quoted as saying...
"That gentleman will never set foot in Perugia again."
"He was a phenomenon only when he played against Italy. I am a nationalist and I regard such behavior not only as an affront to Italian pride but also an offence to a country which two years ago opened its doors to him."
"I have no intention of paying a salary to someone who has ruined Italian soccer."
That will teach you to get excited in front of the press. Read the fool scoop...

i donīt think the match was fixed. Besides Spain was being ripped off by the ref more than italy...
As i see it: if a decision is in doubt, itīs in favour of South Korea...
/me hmms
Weīre playing next against South Korea...
So i guess we need a clear decision cause if itīs a close game chances are good that weīre gonna be ripped off too

Dafuer koennen wir dann aber auch um den 3.Platz spielen
Both matches were rigged more than anything. Today in my local newspaper it said that Italian fans sent over 400,000 eMail commplaints to the FIFA orgainzation. Then Spain has also sent in about 200,000 that the matches were rigged. Just to let you know its on ESPN also!
