    How can I do this???

I'm wanting to add music to my site, but I thought it would be cool to have some sort of menu where my visitors can choose which song they want to hear, incase they don't like the default song that is playing.

Also, I would want to have a volume control.

How would I go about putting all this in a neat little "box" to fit in my top frame of my site [http://www.AustinSings.com/]

I have a folder set up on my server named "music", where I'll store all my midi files, and be able to link from.

Anybody have any ideas on how to do this, or know where I can find a tutorial that would help?

    Flash

Sounds like something that Flash would do very well.

I was looking for a way to do this without using javascript, considering js is becoming more dangerous these days since virus nuts are using it more & more to execute malicious scripts. More folks are disabling js in their browsers these days.

Seems like there would be a way to do this perl....

You can do this 2 ways

One way is by JavaScript. Not sure of the code though

The other way is done by Flash in which I think is the simple way. Yet you will have to have to set somethings up in Flash to do it so lets say when someone clicks on the main song and it plays and they want the other song but both songs are playing at the same time. Basically I think you would have to load up 2 Flash movies to make sure it works right

Thanks, but this is all just too much trouble with no return on time spent setting all this up.

I'll just choose a song, and change it every couple of weeks. Thanks for the imput......
