I once had a DreamHost account, but cancelled after they had a massive outage early in 2008 (my account was down for nearly 2 weeks!). They're still alright for what you get but if you're hosting any 'mission critical' websites then I wouldn't recommend them at all. Haven't had any experience with JustHost so couldn't comment there!

First question thats important for you is to check for your requirement?

What are you exactly looking for ..accordingly you can get better comment that which host will suit your requirements.

I think this will help you better and make your decision faster.

Their names are the ones I have heard a lot about. To suggest you what will be better for you you need to explain what for are you going to use that

Out of the two, I've got experience with Dreamhost, and their stability isn't what is should be:

Personally though, I wouldn't go with Justhost either, given that they've created sites like besthosts2008.com and besthosts2009.com just to list themselves as "top".

    tg,

If they're selling something TOO cheap, you KNOW that they're overcharging elsewhere to make up for it. To me, that's a good reason to avoid them.

I used dreamhost for over 3 years, and they were ok. Now I have my sites hosted at hostgator, because of their unlimited accounts.

The name of the both companies you are interested in are the names I have heard quite often
If you do the search for them I believe you will find a lot of useful information about both

i've been using dreamhost since 2007 i think, not sure of exact date right now but they've been fine so far. all my sites have been doign well.

couple months ago i had the server i was on go down. was out for 2 days but apart from that its been good at DH. i use go daddy for one site too but i havent paid it any attention and never used justhost so can't comment there either. i wrote a review on sitepoint about dreamhost sometime ago here http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/showthread.php?t=562152
