Molona, I agree, it probably would have been better in retrospect for them to have the titles separately to avoid a duplicate purchase (for example, people with the books but not the kits) but it's the shipping costs that shocked me, my jaw dropped when I saw the amount it would cost to appear at my door!

Guys the shipping cost of the kit is what we pay for -- I'm in no way inflating it.

It was hard when putting that deal together what i should do, if I did do free shipping, we'd actually loose money on most international orders. Look if you really wanted the kit, and the shipping was just to high, in your country, send me a message we'll see if we can figure something out. The Revenue Maximizer is a really great product, and I wouldn't want people to miss out

I'm constantly ordering things from the US from our friend ebay, never have I ever had to pay anything above $US 20 for shipping. What service are you using? What's the weight? What's the dimensions?

Also, considering Sitepoint is suppose to be Australian, why not support local publishers and have some printed in Australia for Australian's?

Today (December 5th) the special is a bundle of video tutorials. Are they downloaded or shipped on DVD or CD-ROM? If shipped, what is the shipping charge to Kentucky USA? Are they time-limited, or may I look at them at any time?

Shayne, will absolutely every last book and kit (either/or pdf and printed form) be appearing in at least one offer?

Every book (either in printed or PDF) for will be up for grabs at some stage. The only kit that won't appear is our search engine marketing kit. We're currently pre-selling the 3rd edition so it was a bit complicated to work into an offer.

I'm not sure how one of my previous sitepoint email subscriptions got me on the email a day thing, but I find them pretty annoying.

The first email explained that and every daily email contains a link to unsubscribe from the Christmas Countdown.

Shayne, I didn't mean to imply that you guys were inflating it, I was just shocked at the cost of getting it shipped (I've never been charged anything close to that kind of shipping charge). No insult intended, It's actually a shame you guy's don't have a PDF version of the kit's (like you do the books) which would allow us to have it electronically removing the need for the high shipping rate (assuming it's the weight and dimensions of the folders which is causing it). Don't get me wrong I have been curious about a few of the kit's but it does drive up the cost quite a fair amount, that's all

    Cool -- Alex...

You'll be pleased to know that I've managed to include shipping in our next kit offer -- "The Web Design Business Kit", which is just around the corner.

Out of interest when these special orders (and any other for that matter) are sent to Australia is a signature required for delivery?

Shayne - Many thanks for the response, unfortunately my first order seems to have disappeared in transit so looks like I'll have to give out some IOU's out as Christmas presents.

It's a real shame there is not tracking for international packages.

    We sold a few

It was quite a journey the last 24 days, and in a month or two I'll probably put up a post talking about what went well, what didn't, so everyone else can learn from it.
