Apologies if this has been asked before, but does the physical host location have an impact on SEO, and if so, how much? (as in negligible to somewhat??)
It does matter. However, I am against this foolish Google's idea. It is really absurd to host 50000 user community on unreliable local country servers. I prefer USA and Canada server management providers. Luckily webmaster tools geographic target can help.
Well I can see what they are trying to do, but yes I would agree, server location has absolutely nothing to do with site content.
I think that video answered the question about .com .org etc, but I'm gonna assume that a .com.au hosted in the states wouldn't really lose anything over being hosted in Aus.
