    Password protecting entire subdomain [plesk]

    Hey guys,

I have tried password protecting the subdomain through plesk.

I password protected the '/' folder. but it does not seem to be working.

I tried it through making my own htpasswd file, but it does not seem to be working. Different online htpasswd creation scripts have show me different passwords

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    astericks,

If you have Plesk (it's been a long time since I used Plesk), you should have a password protection function which can be applied to a directory (which is likely what you have for your subdomain). Use that and it will use the Linux version of the password creation and send it to the htpasswd file as well as updating the .htaccess for you.
