Like the title says I'm working on creating an eblast management system, nothing overly complex, but after looking for a decent open source, install myself solution I was surprised at how little I found aside from the PHPMailer ML one, so here I am making my own (if anybody knows any let me know, I'm interested)
It's going to be PHP/MySQL and I'll be releasing it...probably under GPL (need to double check and make sure that's the good one) for everybody when I get it completed in a few weeks (about 90% done, but need finishing touches on certain bits).
I've had experience with YesMail before, and have poked around MailChimp to get ideas of what to include, but was hoping to get an idea from everybody else.
So far I have:
Basic list management - add emails, first names, last names to lists, delete lists, add new lists
Basic campaign functionality - create campaigns with html (TinyMCE), select list to send to, schedule when to send
Basic reporting - bounced, delivered, opened, clicked - nothing too fancy yet
So my question to everybody who has looked for an eblast manager is what would you want from it? My goal is to keep this simple (at least at first), but I'd like to make sure I don't miss any obvious functionality![]()
