The process is usually virtually instantaneous, you are correct.
It is possible our order processing system flagged your order as suspicious for some reason. Your best bet is to email books@sitepoint.com with your transaction ID, and our support staff (who are back on duty in about 18 hours after a long weekend here in Australia) will get right back to you with the status of your order.

I can understand that it may have been flagged as suspicious as there were quite a few items on my order.
I’ll look forward to receiving my physical books in a few weeks (including a copy of your book Simply Javascript - maybe you can sign it for a fellow Melbournian , now I’m off to download them.
