    Characteristic PHP

    Just something I found funny regarding PHP.

    First, the discussion grew because of this page (which is funny and ironic in that of itself):

    Then this thread:

    What's so funny inside, I didn't found any :
    PHP 5.3.1 Release Announcement

    The PHP development team is proud to announce the immediate release of PHP 5.3.1. This is a maitenance in the 5.3 series, which includes a large number of bug fixes.

    Security Enhancements and Fixes in PHP 5.3.1:

    * Added "max_file_uploads" INI directive, which can be set to limit the number of file uploads per-request to 20 by default, to prevent possible DOS via temporary file exhaustion.
    * Added missing sanity checks around exif processing.
    * Fixed a safe_mode bypass in tempnam().
    * Fixed a open_basedir bypass in posix_mkfifo().
    *

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function bugfix() in /home/php/public_html/releases/5_3_1.php on line 23

    The webpage is supposed to look like this
    http://www.php.net/releases/5_3_1.php

    But something prevented the last half from being output. Notice the fatal error.

    At least it was fixed pretty quickly, under 3 hours after the initial addition of the "faulty" file. We all make mistakes.
