Cafepress competitors?
(Strangely enough I couldn't find anything on this through search)
Does Cafepress.com have any interesting competitors that work the same way? (i.e. they also print after an order is made and not require you to buy a whole stock)
Let me know. Sorry if this has been asked already.

I don't think there are any others that work in the same way. They have the market all to themselves...
I could be mistaken though.

i also think so...
or at least they have 95%+ of the market... and they are actually pretty good. i signed up a few weeks ago and the control panel is impressive. i only wish they could lower their price. in fact i think you can pretty much forget the idea of using cafepress to make serious money. it's a good way to do offline promotion though.

They're growing pretty quickly. They used to have just shirts. Now they have aprons, frisbees, clocks, license plate frames, and the list goes on...

When I first found CafePress there were a couple of competitors, but CafePress certainly were 1000% better than any one of them.
Now, CafePress has improved another 1000%. I am referring to the number and variety of products offered and the quality and professionalism of the site.
However, CafePress stores used to look different. They weren't branded - there was mainly just a header image that was user definable.
Nowadays all CafePress stores are primarily branded with the CafePress trademark, look and feel. The user definable header image is below this.[mmj] My magic jigsaw

what are you talking about mmj? i don't know but, for example, the shoutcast store doesn't have any cafepress branding. in fact i wouldn't know it's cafepress without the URL.

I heard some concerns on this forum about the quality of the prints about a year ago. What is your current opinion on the end product?

exhale: Not sure how they did that, I'd love to know how though, especially since Support says it isn't possible.
maximar: Products are decent quality. No worse than what you'd be expecting for the price you are paying

I've found CP's quality to be extremely good. Much better than what I expected, and much better than more expensive screen printing my brother had done locally.

How much (on average) do you make from the sale of CP's stuff?

However I notice that my store has changed, and that it now features a cafepress logo and the colour scheme and layout are all based on the cafepress site. My banner is below that. It used to be just a simple white page with my banner at the top.
My page is www.cafepress.com/amphigory
So I assume there's probably a way of changing all this.[mmj] My magic jigsaw
