Convert MSSQL dump file into a MySQL dump file.

I have a phpBB3 backup file (both in a .gz and .sql file) that I need converted into a MySQL dump file that I can then import via phpBB3 restore or phpMyAdmin.

Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to do this?

book some time off, get yourself a very good text editor, and edit, edit, edit

the two versions of SQL are significantly different

alternatively, obtain a utility program (some are free, good ones typically are not) that will do the conversion for you

    r937,

Do you know of the names of these utilities that will convert the dump file from MSSQL to MySQL?

You can find an app to do this without much issue.
