Best way for a newbie to stream a large flv file ?

Hi all, I have a 50mb flv file that I would like to put on a website for others to view. What code do I need on the page please ? I guess I need to link to the file in some way ?

It would be great to stream it in some way.

    Any help very much appreciated.

    Dez.

You need a flash video player ( a swf file) that references the flv and plays it. You can't directly embed a .flv in the html.

Many thanks for the input on this, it's my first time on videos in websites, so any help is appreciated.

How would be the best way to show a 50mb film ? and in as a secure way as possible ?

It it's small enough to upload to Youtube (I don't know what the file size limit is for Youtube videos) and use the embeding link there.

I haven't tried YouTube, but the places I have seen it used on other sites makes me want to avoid it. As an example, a church site with YouTube videos that had links to videos that the church did not want displayed on their site. I suppose the reverse would be true for a site promoting an event with lots of drinking and pole dancing not wanting a church video played on their site.

If there is a way to use YouTube without the recommended videos displaying at the end, I would like to know how it is done for future use.
